Informatics majors put information to work to meet people’s needs. The Informatics program at the University of Washington Information School develops students’ ability to design, build, manage and secure information systems.     Actually, the Information School uses plenty of other hardware manufacturers as well, but stock our labs with iMacs as an economical way to provide dual boot options (Vista and OSX) for our students, who asked for this option.
