   I remember a time when education was its own reward, the absolute goal American families had for their children. I’m not sure when educating oneself marked them as an elitist. It was just expected that one prize education, learning and communication. Elitist, then I will be. I choose that over returning to the knuckle dragging cave dweller status that seems to be somehow prized by loud speaking bullies.

   This is what people strive for years to have the privilege of witnessing. A guy mumbling about something or other with people swiveling in their chairs not really listening. But not just any guy! A guy who is wearing a tie and who is lit by recessed lighting!

   Hopefully the internet will make things more democratic and do away with all this bull shit.
